I have more than 16 years of software development experience across agencies and projects. At Metazen, I develop PHP web applications as a senior software developer. I work with the team in a hybrid arrangement, taking on project-based or full-time roles as needed.
Database design, security and performance are central to my development work. In PHP projects, I use object-oriented programming (OOP) to organize code by responsibility and MVC to separate data operations, application logic and the interface. How I develop software
Before development begins, I clarify what the application needs to do, how data will be processed and which actions users will perform. I move repeated operations into shared code and check how a change affects other parts of the application.
On the JavaScript side, I develop user interactions and handle data from the server. My knowledge of HTML and CSS helps me check that features work correctly in the interface. I review usability with the design team.
